New Opportunites!
September 21, 2010
From Randy & Evelyn Owens:
How many of you have ever noticed how all of a sudden CBC begins to grow in leaps and bounds? We have seen this happen many times at CBC and it truly is very exciting to see how the Lord brings new converts and other believers from other areas to our church. With the growth though, brings new needs in our children’s ministries. We have a unique opportunity at CBC where we are able to play a vital role every week, in fact, several times a week, in seeing people given the opportunity to come to know Christ. Would you join us in helping fulfill the “Great Commission” right here in our own community?
We need several people who want to jump aboard and help us provide the best programs possible while parents are hearing the gospel and great biblical teaching on how to walk with our Lord Jesus. And, of course, not only are the parents being ministered to but we are able to share the love and salvation message with the children of these families. Please consider these openings if you have had the opportunity to hear the great teaching for several years and if you have a desire to share Christ with children. (We recognize individuals want to attend worship weekly, therefore they would be serving during their regular ABF hour. These positions are for CBC members only.)
Sunday mornings at 9:15
We need 3 teacher’s assistants in the 3-yr. old classes.
We also need 2 teacher’s assistants are needed in a 4 yr. old class
Sunday mornings at 11:00
We need a teacher’s assistant in the 4th grade class.
We also need an assistant in the 2nd grade class.
KidsLife and Presidential
More volunteers are always needed in our twice a month KidsLife program either in the building in the subject area classes or at Presidential.
Thank you so much for considering these positions. May God continue to give us a vision for the lost and dying world and may He give us the energy, grace, love and concern to “press on”.
And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. Gal. 6:9

Co-Op Potluck Info
September 9, 2010
From Heather Breeland:
Hello, fellow co-op members.
What a wonderful beginning we had to our new co-op. The teachers did a great job on their first afternoon and we can’t wait to go back next week. My son, Chase, was actually excited about having homework. So much so that when I sat him down for dinner in the fellowship hall, he and a his buddy, Ethan, pulled out their notebooks and started working.
We had a great turnout for our first potluck dinner and I have already heard from a few more that will be joining us next week. We’ve decided to try a theme dinner and our first attempt will be Southwestern. So far we have a taco bake, layered bean dip, and tacos coming. What will you surprise us with?
If you have any questions or need an idea, call me or Amy Kuehl (630-865-5329). See you next week.

Correction KidsLife
September 6, 2010
The previous post was a repost of the email sent out to those who are pre-registered for Woman’s Life. I did not read it thoroughly and just want to note that if you have not filled out a registration form and turned it in for Woman’s Life you are not pre-registered, but we do want to see you there! You can still register on-site on Wednesday morning in the Atrium.
Thanks!

September 6, 2010
Another season of Woman’s Life will be underway soon, and I extend a hearty welcome to you! I thought it might be helpful to give you a “heads up” on what to expect your first day at Woman’s Life and Kids Life. Feel free to call Claudia (525-0089) or e-mail (cbcwomanslife@gmail.com) with any questions! Any questions about the Children’s Ministry may be directed to Evelyn Owens @ 521-5026 or cbcevelyn@gmail.com
PARKING: The rear parking lot is your closest parking lot. Please be aware of little ones as you enter and leave the lot! There will be signs directing you to “check-in/registration” in the Atrium.
CHECK-IN/REGISTRATION: We ask that you enter & check-in at the counter in the Atrium each Woman’s life morning. The counter will be staffed at 9:00 am. There you can pick up announcements, the handout for the mornings lesson as well as a name tag. There is a suggested donation of 5$ per session to help offset the costs of the ministry.
TITUS GROUPS: The ladies at the counter will be glad to help you select a Titus Group if you haven’t yet. We have two groups specifically for moms & babies; Marlit Stansell & Colleen Dralle. Those groups are geared toward moms who need to have their children with them. Also new this year is a group for high school and college age women led by Mary Beth Griz. If you do not get a chance to select a group, you can come to the café after teaching time and I will be glad to help you then.
CAFÉ: The World Missions Café is open from 10:30-11:00. Coffee, juice and light snacks are available.

Kids Life Girls Class Update
September 2, 2010
From Evelyn Owens:
4th-8th grade girls will have two options at KidsLife this year during the 2nd half of the morning (10:45-12:00). Home Economics and Apologetics Science will be offered. However, if a girl chooses Home Economics she must do so by the 2nd meeting date which is Sept. 22. Girls entering the KidsLife program after Sept 22 will need to attend the Apologetics Science class.
The Home Economics class will be for girls who are committing to attending each time as we will need to have certain materials ready for each class and we must know how many supplies to purchase. Girls may also be asked to bring some supplies on occasion to help with the cost of the program as we are not asking for any registration fee this year for KidsLife.
If a girl comes in after Sept. 22 and someone drops out we will open that place up for new girls. If you cannot attend before Sept. 22 but plan on coming the rest of the year, be sure and reserve a spot by e-mailing cbcevelyn@gmail.com.
